Thank you for what you do. There is so much support while pregnant...
and then you have the baby and that's when the REAL assistance is needed.

What Is Sleep Coaching or Sleep Consulting?

First Daze & Nightzzz helps families with newborns establish healthy sleep habits right from the start, as well as working with families facing sleep issues with their babies, toddlers and preschool age children. As a trained and experienced sleep coach, Pam provides educational and emotional support specific to each family’s situation. No single approach works with all children all of the time. Pam helps families find an approach that fits their child's temperament, the family's values and one they can follow consistently. She empowers the parents and guides them in a non-judgemental way toward resolving their family's sleep issues.

Should families co-sleep, room share or put baby in a separate room? When can you expect a baby to begin taking regular naps and sleeping through the night? Is all sleep equal regardless of where it takes place? Is crying it out the way to go when trying to get baby to sleep through the night? Should you nurse your baby to sleep every night? These are a sampling of the questions Pam can help parents explore in the process of developing healthy sleep habits in their babies.

Several sleep coaching options are available depending on each family's need:
  - a one time consultation that concludes with a personalized sleep plan
- a consultation, personalized sleep plan and 3 follow up calls that provide          guidance and support while the plan is implemented
- a consultation, personalized sleep plan and 6 follow-up calls that provide guidance   while the plan is implemented
- a "right start" newborn class to establish healthy sleep habits right from the start

"Pam gave us a professional perspective and more importantly an option that didn't seem cold while helping us move towards getting our baby to become an independent sleeper. She also gave me the support and the encouragement I needed to make the move. After Pam left, I did not feel alone. In fact, I felt more confident, hopeful and that I had educated expertise to rely on to lead me through this difficult time."
~Morrisville, NC mother of 7 mo. old

"Pam came to us five weeks into life with our third child, who hadn't slept for more than a two-hour stretch since his arrival. None of the comfort measures that had soothed our oldest children seemed to help this little guy, and we were exhausted and bewildered. In the course of a single morning, Pam analyzed our challenges, and armed us with a wealth of new ideas and techniques to try. That very night, we got our first four-hour stretch of peaceful slumber, and things have continued to improve ever since thanks to ongoing consultations with Pam to fine-tune our baby's sleep routines. Pam delivered the wisdom, reassurance, and compassion we needed to get through that challenging time, and brought a new level of joy to life with our new arrival. We are so grateful!!"

"At a time when I felt the most vulnerable--both physically and emotionally--I felt like I had the wisdom of a team of experts to turn to for support. They helped me with the challenges of breastfeeding twins, baby care, the babies' first bath, baby wearing and sleep training."
